LA Baby MT 4900 COCO BN WPC Review by Olga

Recently we received this mattress. It included organic waterproof cover and did not have any smell.
After reading some reviews I was afraid that it smells really bad, but it does not.

I like the quality of this mattress. It is firm and organic - great deal for the money.

However, my friend ordered the same mattress just before me (we even used the same link at amazon), and her mattress smells a little bit and does not have waterproof cover.
How can it be? I do not know. But if you are lucky you will love this mattress.

The cover that came with my mattress states that it is non-waterproof. This was disappointing since the listing clearly says that it includes a waterproof mattress cover, but the mattress is very nice for the price and it fits in the crib.

Bought this mattress for my 14 month old son so that he could transition from a co-sleeper in our bedroom (and often in our bed) to his own bed in his own bedroom. The best thing about this mattress was that fact that there was no VOC smell when I opened the package even when I put my nose up to the mattress and gave a good sniff I didn't smell anything other than a slightly earthly smell that I attribute to the coconut fibers. My son has been happy too, I was worried that transitioning to his own bed and bedroom would be tough, but he wanted to sleep in his new bed the first night, it took a few nights before his was sleeping through the night but it went surprisingly fast and I attribute part of the that to the fact that he finds the mattress comfortable to sleep on, he's been sleeping on it for about 3 months now. I think the firmness it fine, but I started with an older child not a newborn. The waterproof cover is a nice addition though so far there haven't been any incidents to test its effectiveness. I would recommend this mattress, the price is reasonable and if it is as durable as they claim it should easily last through another child.
