The cover that came with my mattress states that it is non-waterproof. This was disappointing since the listing clearly says that it includes a waterproof mattress cover, but the mattress is very nice for the price and it fits in the crib.

I ordered this mattress as i wanted a coconut one and 2 in 1 is a great addition. But when i got it, it turned out it wasnt 2 in 1. If you look at manufacturer's site [...] you'll see that there are two kind of mattresses: one of them is coconut mattress and another is 2 sided cotton mattress. So, be careful when buying from amazon.

Bought this mattress for my 14 month old son so that he could transition from a co-sleeper in our bedroom (and often in our bed) to his own bed in his own bedroom. The best thing about this mattress was that fact that there was no VOC smell when I opened the package even when I put my nose up to the mattress and gave a good sniff I didn't smell anything other than a slightly earthly smell that I attribute to the coconut fibers. My son has been happy too, I was worried that transitioning to his own bed and bedroom would be tough, but he wanted to sleep in his new bed the first night, it took a few nights before his was sleeping through the night but it went surprisingly fast and I attribute part of the that to the fact that he finds the mattress comfortable to sleep on, he's been sleeping on it for about 3 months now. I think the firmness it fine, but I started with an older child not a newborn. The waterproof cover is a nice addition though so far there haven't been any incidents to test its effectiveness. I would recommend this mattress, the price is reasonable and if it is as durable as they claim it should easily last through another child.
